Is the hotel quiet?
Our hotel is situated on the outskirts of Lahr, surrounded by lush meadows and fields. From Luhnhof, the forest 100 meters away from the hotel, there are connections to the hiking and biking trails in the direction of the Moselle and the Hunsrück.
How far away is the Moselle river?
Lahr is on a hill on the front side of the Hunsrück. It is just a 10 minute drive from the Mosel and 25 minutes from the famous town of Cochem.
How far is it to the river Rhine?
The ‘Hunsrück-Höhenstraße’ takes you in 35 minutes to Boppard as well as St. Goar (Lorelei).
At what time can I have breakfast?
With our breakfast buffet daily from 8.00 to 10.00 o’clock and on Sundays and public holidays until 10.30, you can have a relaxed start of your day.
Can I have breakfast at the hotel when I am not a hotel guest?
Don’t feel like preparing breakfast for yourself and your family? Sit down in our restaurant and enjoy an extensive breakfast! Please make reservations so we know you are coming.
Our buffet breakfast costs € 11 per person. Children age 6 - 12 receive 30% discount and children age 2 - 5 receive 50% discount. Children under 2 years are free.
Do i have internet access?
All hotel rooms and apartments and the dining areas offer Internet access via WiFi.
Are there smoking and non-smoking rooms in the hotel?
Our hotel is a non-smoking hotel. If you have a room with a balcony we can provide an ashtray upon request.
What payment methods are accepted?
You are welcome to pay in cash. We accept giro and Maestro. For our hotel rooms we also accept Visa and Mastercard. Of course the full amount may also be transferred prior to arrival.
Is there a cancellation fee?
For the rules for cancellation of reservations, please see our the terms and conditions. These rules and regulations comply with statutory regulations. Generally, we recommend that you get a travel insurance.
If you cancel your travel, the following compensation scheme based on the Guest Accomodation Agreement applies:
- Cancellation up to 3 weeks before arrival: € 25 administration fee
- Cancellation 3 weeks to 3 days before arrival: 60% of the price.
- Cancellation within 2 days before arrival, late- or no arrival: 90% of the price
When can I check in, when do I check out?
On arrival, our rooms / apartments are available from 15 o’clock. On the day of departure, the rooms are to be empty at 10 o’clock. Early arrival and late departure is possible by prior arrangement only. Normally, we hold your room / apartment until 18 o’clock for you. For late arrival please contact us, we will hold the room for you. This does not apply to guaranteed reservations (deposit or deposited credit card).
Does the hotel have anti-allergy bedding, extra pillows or headwedges?
All are available in the hotel upon request. Please inform us about your requirements when booking a room / apartment. Almost all our beds are individually adjustable.
Is there a possibility for an extra bed in my room / apartment?
An extra bed is possible only in some rooms. In all our apartments an extra bed is possible. Please ask while booking.
Are baby beds available and at what price?
Baby beds are available. Our baby cribs are wooden beds instead of travelbeds. We charge a flat fee of € 18 regardless of the time you spend with us.
Are dogs allowed in the hotel / apartment?
Dogs are welcome. Because of the increasing number of allergies, we have a few rooms / apartments available. We charge a fee of € 6.00 to € 10.00 per night (without dogfood). Please inform us upon booking that you are bringing your dog.
Are the rooms / apartments accessible for the handicapped?
We have a wheelchair accessible apartment. It is also possible to separate two rooms in this apartment, so they can be used as hotel rooms, with an entrance of their own. Reception and restaurants are accessible via a ramp.The ground floor has a toilet, that can be entered with a wheelchair.
Does the hotel have an elevator?
The hotel has no elevator. Reception, restaurant and breakfast room are accessible barrier-free.
What is the screen size of the TV's and which channels can I receive?
Is there a car park?
Parking is available next to the hotel and is free of charge.
Is there a way to park my bike / bicycle safe at night?
We have an indoor parking space for all Bikes and Trikes, free of charge.
Is there enough room to park my car with (motorcycle)trailer?
There is enough parking space available for your car and trailer, so feel free to bring your bike.
Are (bath) towels and hair dryer available?
All rooms and apartments are equipped with sufficient towels. A hairdryer is available in every bathroom.
What are the opening times of the sauna?
The sauna is turned on by request (extra charge). The pre-heating time is about 45 minutes. The sauna is opened until 10 pm. Sauna towels and bathrobes are provided and are included in the price. Refreshments will also be available for you.
Can I borrow a bathrobe?
The hotel has bathrobes available for sauna guests. Would you like a bathrobe for your stay, you can order it at the reception (extra charge).
Can I use the sauna when I am not staying at the hotel?
During our opening times, the sauna will be at your disposal. Give us a call.
Where are the nearest shops and a petrol station?
You will find both in Kastellaun and Treis-Karden. Do you prefer a larger selection, go to Kastellaun.
Do you have ponies / horses for riding?
We have no horses. Nearby there are several riding stables.
