On meadow, field and forest, you can observe rare animals like the Red Milan, partridges, foxes, muffles and with a little luck wild cats.
On the beautiful hiking and biking trails in the area you're in good company. A long time ago, this was where the infamous robber Johannes Bückler lived, better known as "Schinderhannes". On tv, the Hunsrück is seen in the film series "Heimat" by Edgar Reitz.
